WELCOME

Dear Brothers,

It is time to restore our father land to the place it deserves.
Enough has been said about us and done to us. The only way I find is to lead by personal example. I need volunteers from every district who will do their best to make the people educated and powerful. Only when each of us realise that we have the power to change, BIHAR will rise and it's time to awaken the spirit.
We all know that nobody can compete with us in the NEVER GIVE UP attitude. Only a Bihari farmer can sell… Continue

Bihari CM Governance or Nautanki?

Well even the most developed & progressive country like US, UK, France etc have weakness & so is true with other states in India be it Gujarat, Maharashtra, Tamilnadu, Karnataka etc.
But the former countries are in dynamic state; learning & unlearning is continuous, consistent with a pace which increases with every passing moments. They do not skip or sweep the wrong doings in the carpet but are brave & courageous to tackle the same head on collectively. So is the case with other… Continue

Change agents have failed to work in Bihar

First of all, congratulations to the Bihar Network team for putting such a great site in place. I believe, the first thing which is essential for development of any place/community (which happens to be our state Bihar in the context of this post and website) is to welcome the latest technologies whole heartedly and embrace them with both hands. A great invention is not even worth mention if it has not found users. I remember my days while I was doing my masters course at Indian Institute of Bang… Continue

Dr Somnath Bandyopadhyay

Why is Bihar Poor?

Poverty in Bihar is related to the management, and transformation, of its production systems. The deep social stratification meant that the production systems (read, vast tracts of highly productive lands) were traditionally controlled by a few, typically belonging to the higher castes. Members of other castes survived on the diversified opportunities provided by an agrarian economy that supplied bumper harvests, but was also unstable, thanks to the seasonal floods and changes of river courses.… Continue

Surprise Indian Democracy-Pl decide which party represent true democracy

Voting in election 2009 : 80% (Gross)
Distribution of vote :
1. Muslim vote 20% - to congress
2. Christian Vote - 5% to Congress
3. Hindu Vote - 10% to Congress

Total vote % to congress = 35%

1. Hindu Vote to BJP - 40%
2. Others - 5%

Total vote % to congress = 45%

What a surprise if voting % goes higher than 75% BJP is clear winner but if gross voting less than 50% congress is winner?

Who is winner in true democracy- BJP or Congress? Pl decides you.

How to develop Bihar

Friends, Bihar cannot be developed unless we create unique compititve advantage of each district of bihar. So, i invite to share some of your bright ideas as which districs should be focussed so as to create a business compititive advantage of that district. We have to keep in mind that the funds are low for development so the deistrict so chosen must have atleast a minimum infrastrcture for development.

Please contribute your ideas.

Bihar: A long way to go

It has been three years that Nitish Kumar took over as the Chief Minister of Bihar. Claiming to provide a clean, better and efficient administration, Nitish uprooted Lalu Prasad Yadav’s 15-year-old stranglehold. The first few months passed very quickly as Biharis celebrated the change in the guard and hoped for a better future.

Now even after two year, Nitish enjoys an unprecedented popularity with almost all the Bihar watchers crediting him with doing a good job in a state that many said had n… Continue
