PLIGHT OF BIHAR AND BIHARIS



All the pictures splashed across all the newspapers and television channels of Biharis getting bashed up ruthlessly has become a common feature and no longer evokes a shock or a feeling of disbelief. Yes, it raises a lot of questions. And all the questions coagulate towards a single question and that is "WHY BIHAR"? (including Jharkhand)



In the 1950s, Sir Paul Appleby visited India. He was an expert in public administration and came to India on an invitation by Pandit Nehru. He went on record to say, "Bihar is the best administered state in India and in the time to come it will become an example for other states". Alas! Bihar lost out midway. It is high time to give it a thought and evaluate, why and where did we lose our way?



We gave the first president to India and that doomed us. Since then, we started considering ourselves as "INDIANS" and not "BIHARIS" or "JHARKHANDIS". But the "REST OF INDIA" did not think the same way. For them, we were and continue to be only Biharis, very different from the rest of Indians.



Out if the feeling of the same "INDIANNESS", we gave for free our rich mineral wealth to the rest of India so that their industries can run. It was like giving our family gold or milk-giving cow to them because we thought that they were our brothers. They took all the minerals and despised us… hated us more and more as the time passed.



Had we sold these minerals directly to European countries or China , we would have been richer than Kuwait or any other country in the world and the rest of India would have come to Bihar seeking work. The constant and unrestricted drain of minerals is like allowing the parasites to suck our blood... to let the traitors rape our women and helplessly watch them having the last laugh. This was "Freight Equalization" Policy which cheated us of our wealth and left us high and dry.



Whenever it came to regional development, some states held the country on ransom. They threatened and blackmailed India of secession and in turn made the centre bow down before them and fulfill their demands. They therefore, got the maximum benefits. Perhaps, they have always been lucky to have powerful regional leaders which unfortunately, Bihar has always lacked.



Punjab dangled the same threat in the 50s and the dam which was to be built on river "Kosi" went to them as "Bhakra Nangal" project. Biharis again sacrificed for the sake of India… for their Punjabi brothers. But this sacrifice was not honored. The terrorists killed innocent, defenseless and hapless Biharis in 80s who had gone to Punjab to eke out a living for themselves.



The land of North Bihar is so fertile that we would have become the "Rice Bowl" of the world. The "Green Revolution" which should have happened in Bihar happened in Haryana and Punjab.



Has any state valued our sacrifices?



We kept dying of HUNGER, POVERTY, FAMINE and FLOODS but still voted on caste lines. For us, the most important issue was being a Rajput, Bhumihar, Yadav, Muslim, etc. But remember, the world always thought of us as "DISPICABLE BIHARIS" who need to be wiped out of the map of India.



Out of caste considerations, we kept on giving leaders like Laloos, Rabris, Pappus, and Shahabbuddins and ensured that we disappear from the radar of development.



The rest of India was too happy to see all this because out of our destitution, we provided them very cheap labor which could run their mills, build their homes, work in their fields, look after their cattles, carry them on cycle rickshaws or rickshaws pulled by human beings, and still tolerate their ill-treatment which they have always meted out to Biharis. It started with "BIHARI" becoming an ABUSE and this kind of treatment meted out to Biharis gradually started giving rest of India a "PERVERSE PLEASURE"



Suddenly now, this despicable Bihari who was best fit to be at his feet has started giving "COMPETITION" to the rest of India . Years of struggle has hardened a Bihari and made him very competitive. This has unnerved everybody. The violence which we now see against the Biharis is a "NERVOUS REPRESENTATION" of the rest of India because somewhere in their heart of hearts they know that they cannot compete.



We always gave preference to "CASTE" while electing our leaders who have always lacked "VISION". They have empowered themselves rather than empowering the people of ill-fated Bihar. We have always lacked a good regional leader of stature who could defend the needs of Bihar. Had the then politicians put their foot down on the issues like Kosi river or freight equilisation policy, Biharis would have never migrated to other parts of the country to seek jobs. We now need leaders who can not only restore our wealth but also our "PRIDE".



It is important for every Bihari to realize that unless and until we build our own home (Bihar ), we will never have our pride anywhere outside.



Dear Biharis, it has been enough now. We have suffered a lot… we have been exploited a lot… we have tolerated all forms of atrocities in the past sixty years. Our pride is at stake. Now, the time has come to stand up and intensify our struggle to regain the respect and dignity which we deserve in India. Let us start making our efforts very much in the positive direction to build a new Bihar.



Let us create a people's movement to bring about a change... Let us act now for the resurgence of Bihar .

आप का बिहार और बिहारियों पर लिखा गया यह विश्लेषण और समीक्षा हाला की लघु रूप में है फिर भी समझने के लिए तथा अगली कारर्वाई के लिए काफी है. इसमें एक बात जो छुट गयी है वो है गैर बिहारियों को पार्लियामेन्ट में लोक सभा तथा राज्य सभा दोनों के माध्यम से भेजने का. आज़ादी के तुरत बाद से यह सिलसिला चल रहा है. मुजफ्फरपुर से आचर्य कृपलानी तथा अशोक मेहता को राष्ट्रीय नेता होने की वजह से भेजा गया था. लेकिन बाद में जॉर्ज फेर्नान्देस और शरद यादव कों. ये कब के बिहारी हुए. मुंबई और मध्य प्रदेश में हजारों के नेता नहीं बन पाए, बिहार से चुनाओ जीतते हैं. रांची से रविन्द्र वर्मा थे जो चुनाओ के बाद दिखे नहीं. बहुतों को तो उनके बारे में पता नहीं है वे केरलियन थे. राज्य सभा के लिए तो सीधा डील होता है और बदनाम वकील आनंद जैसों को भी हम भेजते रही. अभी झारखंड से नाथवानी जी को भी पैसा ले दे कर भेज दिया गया. एस एस अहलुवालिया कब के बिहारी हैं. पर अपने लालों के पास पैसे की कमी रही उन्हें किसी ने भाव नहीं दिया. बाहरी लोग आप के इस गुण पर फ़िदा होकर आप का शोषण नहीं करे तो क्या करें.इस बात को भी ध्यान में रखना है की हम जिन बिहारियों की नेतागिरी पर आह्लादित होते रहते हैं वे कैसे हैं कितने छोटे लोग हैं. ये अपने कुकर्मो कों छिपाने के लिए ब्लैक मेल होते हैं और ऐसे बाहरी लोगों कों टिकेट देते हैं. ये हमारा आप का प्रतिनिधित्व नहीं करते ये सिर्फ अपने स्वार्थ के लिए जीते मरते हैं. अपने परिवार के बाहर कुछ अच्छा नहीं दीखता है.
अब प्रश्न है की हम क्या करें. उत्तर है इन नेताओं कों कंट्रोल करे और कुछ नए नेता पैदा करे जो बिहार के १९७४ के आन्दोलन से उपजे नेताओं जिन्हें हम अच्छी तरह देख और समझ रहे है से अलग हो. जो मुंबई की मार से और कोसी की बाढ़ से उपजे हों.
मैं एक बात कहना चाहूँगा की इ-संबाद की अपनी सीमाएं हैं और हमें कहीं एक निश्चित समय और स्थान पर इकठा होकर बातचीत और चर्चाओं के जरिये ही आगे बढ़ने का, कुछ नए कदम उठाने का प्रयास करना है . चूँकि जनता का सहयोग अति आवश्यक है अतः इस तरह की बातचीत और बैठकों का मेसेज लोगो तक पहुचना जरुरी है. दुर्भाग्य है की इस प्रस्ताव पर कोई कोमेंट नहीं होता. इसके लिए हजारों की बात मैं नहीं कह रहा अगर १०,२०, ३० .....जो भी आ जाये उन्ही का स्वागत होना चाहिए. क्या कोई पटना में बैठा व्यक्ति यह सुन रहा है और क्या वह इसे मुदा मानते हुए एक दो-तिन दिन की बैठक का दिसम्बर के अंत या जनवरी के मकर संक्रांति के आसपास आयोजन कर सकता है. जो भी इसमें शामिल होंगे वे अपने खर्चे पर होंगे यह स्पष्ट है. आगे की रणनीति वहीँ पर तय की जाय.

You have really put the finger on the painful nerve. The plight of Biharis really hurts but it is ultimately the Biharis who are to be blamed for their plight. All of us are culpable. Biharis have all the qualities to excel but their nemesis is their false ego and lack of co-operation with one another. I am speaking from my own diverse experience. I believe that the first thing that we, Biharis should do is to unite, have pride in ourselves and do something for the community by helping each other out. I believe that their is no other way of helping the State but to help the people of the State because after all, State is not land or a geographical boundary but the people comprising it.

I raise the toast to the unity of Bihari brotherhood.

I have been making request to all the educated and visionary Biharis to be part of a political movement which we are initiating because all the problems in Bihar are "System" related problems and we must clean the system to get rid of all the problems. Let us intensify this movement. Together we can make a difference.

The Stateless Shameless Bihari's.
It seems Bihar CM is just busy with skirting all the issues, be it development of state, protecting Bihari's in / out side the state..... Except one exercise and that is-

1. To appease the real saffron brigade so that they do not bad mouth him as is case with our Mr. Ex CM.

2. False / Baseless propaganda of developing the state without any ground reality. All this will lead you know where and in coming days shall go worst than your better noire, as he is charismatic, result oriented, management guru and can shine anywhere. What about you Nitish? Pull up your shock and sleeve or kindly leave the seat.

And please do not give 110 reasons for your failure--- as is your characteristic. You did not became CM on this plank that for fooling and being idle always you will say its what you have got. Perform or be man to step down…. that it's not your cup of tea and let Lalu do the CM work.

Why Bihari's are laughed; hated & disgusted?

"Bihari's get beaten up like dogs in other house and ran as cat......... Then at home they torch their own house and like to call themselves as Lion"- when all such things are going on their Mr. CM is defenseless and hides his helpless in name of India/ Country / Integrity and what not bullshit.... ... its height of political daridraness…. . But what one could expect from a backward kurmi who till date could not even raise his head in front of the Bhumiars; Brahman; Kayasth in their own state.

At least man should have self respect that he is a CM of state whose citizens are always and everywhere are insulted, his primary duty is to be Bihari CM but no.... oh sorry he is Bihari...... . he will always talk of India .. i.e. nothing but he wants to be PM as all Bihari's want........ ha ha ha ha ha 

Will humbly do;
1. Support BJP party though Atal Bihari Vajpayee publicly as PM of India insults Bihari.
For any other state can anybody dare.... hahaha?

• AP High Court judges commented derogatory ref of Bihar during in case where - Bihar or Bihari had nothing to do with the case & was total irrelevant.
• Union Health Minister A Ramadoss has abused Bihar and Bihari's without any reason by saying "…that a doctor from Bihar was the reason why UK derecognized Indian Medical Degrees in 1970”.
• In J&K- BSF instructors in Jammu and Kashmir harasses 136 recruits of Bihar Military Police (BMP), who later deserted the centre.
• Congress Delhi CM Sheila Dixit a Punjabi who started her career as politician from UP but could not succeed now in Delhi bashes Bihari & UPites as she knows the society is been ruled by a microscopic upper caste with such iron hand of atrocities since ages that no two caste from upper or backward can talk in same voice forget whole society.
• GOA home minister Ravi Naik opposed the introduction of train from Patna to Panaji by saying in media publicly "beggars from Bihar will start reaching the coastal states."
• Lt Governor of Delhi too echoed the same publicly.
• Recently those who went for training for BMP (Bihar Military Police) were subjected harassment because of them being Bihari.
• Modi too said the same thing, that Bihari’s are not wanted.
• Late Senior BJP leader from Maharashtra Pramod Mahajan too threatened & warned Bihari student's way back in 2005.
• Bal Thackeray & Raj Thackeray 
• Congress Home Minister RR Patil said bullet for bullet response by Mumbai police is correct for Bihari's.
• Shatrughan the Kayasth went further denigrating Bihar & Bihari during the Marathi vs Bihari stir in Mumbai and publically called that he endorses what Bal Thackeray said and he is God for him & therefore God for all Bihari’s too.
• Bihari Bismillah Khan was not accorded the respect in AP for being Bihari; that too after receiving the highest civilian award....... ...hahaha 
• Even though repeatedly, he requested through media for playing Shenahi in his birthplace but to vain.
• Not a single time did the Govt of Bihar or any independent social body, public helped him in conducting the concert at his home place Bhagalpur and nearby village? Can such thing happen in any other state, forget government public will throng and accord all respect to their son's/daughters.
• Former Indian Skipper Azharuddin said all Bihari are chor's (Thief's) and apologized only when defamation suit was filed.
• Bihari "JHAKI" many times have not been given permission in Delhi on republic Day......... .. Hahaha
• Bihari's get insulted, harmed, killed in Punjab, J&K, Assam, Bengal, AP, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat etc........ who cares.
• …. Others they may worship the Bihari God as others want.... That is they can be selective / choosey but always slaps the same god when need be to send the message that even Bihari gods have to be in their limit....... . Example "chhat ka natak", Karunanidhi "slapping with chappal- all sort of derogative things to God" 
• Let everyone take the entire mineral from this land at the same rate even when transported to any part of India - without giving any benefit to the Bihar, so that other state can develop and their own masses can perish off course in name of  "India". Bottom line if Bihar starts developing then Bhumiars, Brahmans and lalla's will lose out…. How can / dare shudra, dalits progress.
• See Bihari's the days are very near when others will take away the water and we will find no har har gange in our land- offcourse in name of "holy Ganga", "India", "Hinduism" etc -- and saving the Bihari's from flood  ............ just one has to give the "Jhunjhuna" to our backward kurmi politician that you be made PM........ hahaha …… and for the murderer Bhumiars & other upper caste that whatever they do in Bihar no one would question you all………… hahaha
• In Punjab Bihari migrant are harassed, insulted, killed enmass (by bombing theatre playing Bhojpuri film).
• But why example of other state see Bihar whole village is wiped out from child to old human souls because they are born low caste.
• Bihar Police lines have separate caste kitchens like "Bhumiar Chauka", "Rajput Chauka", "Harijan Chauka".
• Bhumiars caste washed the statue of their own caste man when it was garlanded by then CM Lalu Prasad Yadav and it happens by advertising in media. Forget for ordinary lower caste souls.
• Let Bihari's get killed in Assam & NE as they are from shudra (Still after violence the remaining who flew goes back because in Bihar it's worse than that.)
• Let Bihari's poor girls be sold to Punjabi's & Haryanvi's for mere sum, primarily due to pathetic treatment they get back home as they are tribal / shudra.
Let…. Etc.
If any politician tries to get investment thwart it, on names of corruption etc and see the same is not succeeded as the downtrodden will raise their head and the hegemony of the affluent will get abolished.
I was in UP at the time of Taj Corridor- courtesy Ms Mayawati when the people started objecting I had talked with many all had to say the simple thing; she is taking bribe, pollution etc. I could not understand one thing- what's wrong if she is taking bribe let her do after all in this commercial world who won't take but why deny investment which will bring money to all the layers of society. The bottom line is to deny everyone the livelihood.
The whole matter was closed with help of Castiest unaccountable modern Brahman of society ala Supreme Court of India - on flimsy pollution ground. The whole party congress, SP, BJP etc were against it (read the people of UP) and which resulted in her to doing same thing now……… all are happy. If the same would have been in any other state one would have found the deal getting materialized. Its not politician fault, its people.
Take instance of Bihar right now;
• Has the government given any land to IIT?
• Any plan for SEZ.
• Any plan to encourage the English language in primary education so that it becomes the recruitment hub for BPO & Call Centre.
• Any plan for implementing reservation which was enshrined in constitution and based on its negotiation the independence of India was agreed upon and which has been implemented in many parts of India except in Hindi Cow Belt region.
• Any guts (political will) for land reforms with iron hand…

For all ………………………A BIG NO.

Bihari's basic problem is that one cannot see or want any other Bihari should earn a decent livelihood.. ......... And that is the reason that we all land up everywhere be it Gujarat, Maharashtra, All southern states where they have given the downtrodden opportunity to get lifted into main stream since pre independence day by reservation. ......
but Bihari's till date have circumvented always such human things to their own brethren but want themselves the benefit on the plank of "Indian".... hahaha.
All the upper / affluent caste Bihari comes to other land and work for the lower caste of that region but back in Bihar; Bihari's are nothing but killers to their subordinate caste in socio economic hierarchy of castiest society..... .. 

All minerals & Ganga is in Bihar. Not a single industry or investment
Castiesm is in Bihar & that's what has let us backward. Yet No land reform, no reservation etc but yes would like to be treated as Indian.

Yes we are angry in fact very very angry at these Indians (I no longer consider myself as Indian just as Bihari that’s it).

We must build on this fire and make the fire so big that rest of India should start feeling the Bihari Heat.

Biharis have guts to even challenge GOD, remember authority of Lord Krishna was challenged by non other than a Bihari.

But first request to fellow Bihari: PLEASE STOP SELF PETTY ON SUCH RIDICULE/COMMENTS FORM INDIANS. They have forgotten the treatment they got from British .... just recall "Indians and dogs not allowed" these were common sign board out side may clubs and restaurant in those days.

And only one way to achieve this (i.e. to get the Indians feel of Bihari Heat) is to prosper our self and prosper ourselves to such an extent that even Ambanis of today should look like a dwarf.

Prosper our self with Knowledge, Prosper our self with Knowledge to such an extent that even Germans and Japanese Innovations and Inventions should start looking ordinary.

Compete with WORLD and not these filthy and dirty Indians.

May be I might be wrong in many fellow bihari opinion but I firmly do not think and Believe so.

Remember at the moment Nitish is the best bet we have. Definitely Bihari DO NOT NEED LALU YADAV, JAGNATH MISHRA, BINDESEURI DUBE ETC. KIND OF LEADER

We do blame Lalu Yadav for all our ills but his predecessors were no better. I was suspired to hear criticism form Mr. Jaganath Mishara on flood relief, yes the operation might not be entirely flaw less or even may not very effective. But what a surprised see who is talking.

So believe me he is only our best bet at the moment or till some better Bihari emerges as leader but definitely there is no one in current lot of leaders.

Dear Friends,
It's all about politics. See, whatever is done by MNS is wrong, their process is wrong. Legally, we all have the right to move, work and enjoy in any part of India.

But yes, there be some limitations as well. The problem is in Bihar there is no Job, no creative, and less oppurtunity. I dont want to blame anyone, as even I shall blame myself for the ruining image of Bihar as I am working outside but cant help it. May be in future, I get back. But I dont hurt anyone as they do against Biharis.

But tell me, in future, all Non-Biharis start coming to Bihar and do their jobs, earn money....enjoy their life....What you gonna do? You will be angry too. I just want to say everything shall be in a ratio. We must accept that outside there are some biharis who ruins the image as well, and thats TRUE.

But, we Biharis have given loads of things to India, Proud to be Bihari and an Indian. Lets look into ourselves, take the responisibilities and do our DUTIES.....and about MNS and all, its all politics and sadlly, we have to face the outcome of this politics.

To ameliorate from the present condition of bihar/bihari's is to shed the "BIHARIPAN", if done in reality than with coming times we can see real improvement & bihari's progressing.

Secondly i am not of the opinion that Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav is not required in bihar, he is. He is the only Politician who has performed where all the Indian politician's have failed. Nitish performance have not shown much but is fine if we have him around to increase pressure on the former to perform more.

I do agree with your views.
But Non Biharis are not the only reason for the plight of Bihar.

In Bihar more than 90% resources are in the hand of less than 10% population of Bihar.
Politics is not the only field where caste matters.
You can see the caste based discrimination is being done in each and every section of society. Still people feel proud in saying that they belong to bhumihar or rajput or Brahmin or yadav or kayastha caste. On the people shy in saying that they belong to dom, dusad, kurmi, teli etc.

Most of the gundas, bahubalis, etc involved in kidnapping, extortion, train looting kind of activities belong to the families of those who were jamindar or samant or king type people before 1970. Nobody bothers to stop them. Our system helps them either directly or indirectly. Ranvir sena, sahabuddin, prabhunath singh, etc are few names who inherited this extortion business.

Few years ago, I was traveling in banmankhi-bihariganj route. One incident at barhara kothi station. There were few poor looking uneducated ladies (belonging to so called “lower” caste) sitting on the seat of marginally crowded coach. Some people (belonging to so called “upper” caste and “good” family) got into the train. They did not find any seat. One of them said in Maithili “tora sab seat par baithbi, tab humara sab kahan jaibe. Tora sab ke jagah ainthanh chho(he pointed his finger towards floor)”. Nobody tried to stop them. Because they might not have felt anything wrong in this. This incident changed my theoretical concept of democracy in India(specially bihar, which led India during freedom movement and anti emergency campaign in 1975-1980).

There are few questions:

Why people should not vote on the basis of caste (assuming people from other caste is not going to work for them)?

Who is responsible for the above(we or our society or politician or some other reason or union of all these)?

I do agree with you and appreciate your sincere concern for the present socio-economic and political situations in our beloved state. My dear friend, like you, I too feel the pain and agonies of our people.

there is only one solution for all this....people like you and I will have to get together and deal with the "SYSTEMIC PROBLEMS" of the state.

Stop supporting specifically the BJP, Nitish etc who are nothing but the same upper caste brigade. Secondly who said from the obc, sc, st everytime same leaders should be sent. Why don't we see Paswan, Nitish etc don't vote them back.

Leaders are to be voted from thier own caste in castiest soceity but why the same leaders everytime. Ek term ke baad retire karo permanently.
