Our work is spread throughout India where we focus on issues that demand urgent attention and follow-up action, solutions, and significant results like in (i) Elimination of Child Labour (ii) Trafficking (iii) Women Empowerment (iv) Disaster (v) Disability (vi) Environment (viii) Human Rights and (ix) Hygiene and sanitation.
Concerned that hundreds of thousands of needy children and women in India are unable to get any assistance from the Government or charitable organisations, we attempt to fill that void also, by creating awareness among the target groups and coordinating with governments and the society.
We struggle hard to ensure legal awareness among women for their empowerment and self-reliance through several means. At the same time, we pull all resources to rescue child labour and rehabilitate them, despite constraints and limitations.
This NGO was actually formed after a few activists realized that social changes could only be ushered through continued movement and development. They prioritized issues like human rights, women empowerment, elimination of child labour and disability to launch Tara Foundation with a vision to establish a peaceful and prosperous society through participatory mechanism.
Our other work areas focus on fighting poverty, unemployment, exploitation, illiteracy, agriculture, non-conventional energy and rural technology. We are also building opportunities for children in the field of education and generating employment. People from the marginalized and oppressed sections are given immediate attention by our volunteers. Simultaneously, we organize regular brain storming sessions for income generation for the underprivileged.
